And it's super near where I stay :) They are always packed during peak hours and I also have friends who stay at Cheras coming all the way here to try them out. They have been receiving lots of reviews everywhere and it's been a really good place to dine in together with friends and families. They have a wide range of dishes available and they all tasted really good! Their fish head curry is a must try, and you can also try their curry chicken, prawns, tofu, eggs, and some green vegetable. It's good to get more people to come for restaurants like this as you will be able to try more dishes! Tip for this place will be either make reservations beforehand or maybe coming earlier before the peak hour starts. Parking may be an issue here but you can always park further than the desired spot. Pricing for food here is quite reasonable :) ”

“ Pangkor Village VS Fatty Crabs And for me the clear winner would be Pangkor Village, simply because they have better quality control over the crabs they serve. When i'm dining there, i have the peace of mind - knowing that i will get juicy fresh crabs. They have several popular cooking style but its usually dependent on what type of crabs you choose. But personally i tend to go for good ol' plain steam style. That's when i get to taste the crab in all it glorious original flavour. As for the other dishes, we would normally order a plate of vegetables and fish head curry. Their curry is so damn good that i always contemplating of tau pauing home and have it for the rest of the week. It's always filled with people. Pricing wise, it's pretty standard. ”

“ This restaurant is situated right opposite the famously overrated Fatty Crab. And to tell the truth, I do like Pangkor Village Seafood more. They are less crowded hence you do not have to wait in an absurd queue just to order that few crab choices they offer. Here, you get to have all the seafood dishes you like and you can have your crabs cooked in different styles to your liking. Price is seasonal but it is almost always cheaper than Fatty Crab in comparison. So guys, do try this for a change and break away from the herd mentality. ”

“ Now, you don't have to travel all the way to Pangkor Island just to have a taste of their famous seafood. Any kind of seafood dishes that is across your mind ? DOn't have to worry because this place is serving everything that associates with seafoods. The first recommended meal would be the Fatty Crab and all the crabs are sure FAT indeed. I don't know the secrets but this restaurant always serving the bigger crabs compare to any other restaurants. The second meal would be the Fish Head Curry. “ If you're a fan of curry fish head, then probably you've heard of Pangkor Village Seafood that is located at Taman Megah in Petaling Jaya. This is one of my parents favourite restaurant, we used to visit this restaurant at least once a month. Almost all the time when we visited this restaurant, it will always be packed with people and it would sometimes take awhile to be seated (popular among the locals). Even though they are not a halal certified restaurant, but they serve no pork in their premises. Pangkor Village is famous for their signature curry fish head, as almost all the customers that visited will always order their signature curry fish head. As a person that doesn't fancy spicy food, my personal favourite here is actually their Honey Chicken, Deep Fried Calamari Rings, and their fried seafood Taufu. If you have a liking towards steam/grilled crabs, they also have seasonal "Pondan" Crabs (Dual sexuality, as explained by the Chef) which has a lot of crab roes, and if you're lucky they might have them in stock! I really like this restaurant not only because of their great foods that they serve but also the service that they provide, very friendly and fast. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! Will definitely be coming back again! ”

“ People come to this area for Fatty Crab but I'm here for the restaurant opposite the famous Fatty Crab, Pangkor Village Seafood Restaurant. This restaurant used to operate in SS2, they are well known for their curry fish head and 'pondan' crab (pregnant crab with lots of roe). Whenever we are here, we will surely order the famous curry fish head (the parent's favorite) pondan crabs (everyone's favorite), seafood tofu, some stir fry veggie and the honey chicken (the hubby's favorite). Personally, I like all of their food very much. They are all delicious. If you're a crab lover, shall drop by for some pondan crab! On a weekend dinner time, you might need to wait for a bit for a table as this place will be packed with people (unless you go for early or super late dinner). It's not easy to get a parking spot here. It will be even worse on Sunday as there's a night market (pasar malam) here every Sunday. P/S: this restaurant is pork free! ”
